Manifesto of Studies Master's Degree - Note D

Additional educational activities normally include 3 CFU for additional language skills and 9 CFU for work placements. However, depending on the course, the student may request a maximum of 6 CFU for additional language skills, a maximum of 3 CFU for IT and telematics skills, a maximum of 12 CFU for training and orientation placements and a maximum of 3 CFU for other skills useful for employment.
Students who do not have a certificate of proficiency in a European Union language at least at level B2 are required to spend 3 of the 12 CFUs allocated to further education activities on additional language learning. Students who, at the time of enrolment, hold an English language certificate at level B2 can apply to have 3 of the 12 CFUs foreseen for further learning activities recognised as Additional Language Knowledge. Additional knowledge can be acquired through intramural or extramural placements. The latter are carried out in companies, research centres or other public and/or private bodies and are aimed at acquiring specialised knowledge by working alongside personnel involved in the design, production and management of production or research facilities in order to gain an initial insight into the world of work.
Intramoenia placements may be carried out in university research laboratories in order to acquire specialist knowledge by working alongside teaching and research staff in the performance of research and development activities. In all cases, the activity may be preparatory to a thesis, and the performance of these tasks must be certified by the acquisition of the AC model, countersigned by the teacher in charge of the internship activity or by the thesis supervisor.
